Paypal question. How long does it take...

...to clear a dispute if I have proof of delivery? Can't remember how long it has been since I actually had a dispute opened where the card has already been delivered. I can not send money with PP account until dispute is closed. How long does it take to clear after Paypal has DC# showing it was delivered?

3 minutes set to high, poke holes through the plastic cover.
  • I'm going on three weeks since I put in my non-delivery claim. The seller gave me and paypal a bogus delivery confirmation number and the item showed it was delivered to Los Angeles, but I live in a different city. I've emailed paypal 6 times showing that the item was not delivered to me and nothing gets updated on the claim.

    Bill,

    Here's what PayPal says:

Once you've submitted proof that the item was shipped through an approved shipper to the address on the Transaction Details page, we'll review your information. Once the case is resolved, we'll contact you by email. You can also check the status in the Resolution Center.

...... A buddy of mine didn't wait for PayPal's email and instead just called them. His claim was resolved within a week after the call was made. It would probably have lasted at least 2-4 weeks had he not called. I'm not saying this will work for everyone, but it did for him.

No and I'm sorry this happened to me...you.....us.
  • here's my recent experience with paypal. won item over $250. waited for 10 days, no item. filed item not received and requested money back. later same day seller ships and gives paypal tracking #. within a few days item shows delivered w/waiver of signature which I found odd. why would he waive signature on a high dollar item. anyway paypal sides with him after a couple of days since they said seller showed proof of shipment. I am left scratching my head since I thought I would have to sign for something.

    Thenarcissus01,

What you describe is a head scratcher for me too. While I can understand Paypal letting the seller off the hook for sending the item even though it was only after the formal complaint you filed, but he did not follow the rules of having the package require a signature once received since it was above $250. However, did you get what you wanted in terms of the item? Look at the bright side in that. I know you must be miffed at the seller, but what do you want to do at this point? Give him bad feedback and out him on this board. It surprises me he did not apologize or at least offer an excuse.
