Acetone vs Milk Spots and PVC, Pic's Included

As mentioned in a posting a couple of days ago I purchased a few silver dollars recently, the same group I found the 1928 Peace dollar.

In the group were 10 American Eagles, three of which had industrial strength “milk” spotting. Oddly enough, all the examples of milk spotting were on the 2003 American Eagles, none of the other years demonstrated this condition.

I have read some instructional postings, on this board, regarding the use of acetone to remove PVC from coins. I though I would give the milk spots a try. Attached are the before and after on milk spotting. This may be old news to you experienced members, but a new experience for me.

After...no change (note pictures were taken about 20 minutes apart and changed outside lightning...the sun moved).

The green on the Q-tip appears to be PVC removed and no additional cleaning lines are noted on the coin

Apparently acetone has no effect on Milk Spotting. Any advice would be appreciated.
