Counterfeit 1870-CC Quarter on Ebay

This is listed as an 1870 without reference to the mint. The mintmark CCs are in the wrong location. It's a common Chinese fake.
I think this seller is hoping for someone stupid to make a buy offer off Ebay and pay with a money order.
They would get a POS and have no way to get their money back.
Greed sure gets a lot of folks in trouble.

Ray, I do belive that this is a fake. Here's a pic of a real PCGS graded '70cc quarter
to show the folks the placement problem:
Note that the real coin has the CC's split far apart and the ebay coin they are next to
each other (as they would be on the half dollar).

The seller has ended the auction. If someone made an off Ebay deal, they deserve getting taken to the cleaners.

and ended it without any bids.
