Can someone please tell me why there are autograph redemption cards of players who also have autographed cards in packs? Are they different versions?

They should be the same card, but to be honest, no one can really tell you. Topps has made the same but different versions on like cards and did so this year with the same card being serial numbered or not serial numbered. In other words, ask me again this time next year.

Actually I was just bored because my wife won't give me the remote back. I believe the actual answer is that it is just like most of the redemptions from numerous sets. The redemtion card will be a lower serial #'d card than the regular auto'd ones but probably identical otherwise.
