  • The reason I was asking, was I am looking for a 2008 blue label PCGS ms69 slab only no first strike or W mintmark, a seller on ebay says he has one to sell but he says the one he has is minted at West point but with out the W.

The normal uncirculated silver eagles sold through offical distributors in boxes of 500 as bullion are struck at West Point without a mint mark. Sales of these are in multiples of millions, at least ten this year if not 15.

The "burnished uncirculated" silver coins sold directly to the public in individual capsules and boxes are struck at West Point with a W mint mark. Sales of these are in the hundreds of thousands.

    Hope this helps.
