Question about ebay and international buyers

I need a little help guys. I listed an item on ebay and I only ship to the United States. However, a buyer from Australia won the item. Now I am willing to complete the transaction but don't want to get burned. I only accept paypal from the US naturally since I normally only ship to the US. What payment and shipping method would be best if I decide to complete the transaction?

  • First of all .... adjust your shipping preferences that automatically blocks any ebay member outside of the USA from bidding. Paypal is the only way to go. Personally i've *never* had any issues with international buyers. If it's not too much trouble, take the item to the P.O. over the weekend, for a list of rates/options (you don't want to overcharge or undercharge) USPS INTL 1st class, may be the only reasonable option assuming it's a fairly inexpensive item.

If it's an expensive item, I would ONLY use USPS EXPRESS.

It costs just under $30, and meets PayPal's "seller protection" terms
(It includes $100 INS, and an online viewable signature-receipt.)

  • I thought I had my preferences set, but I only had the paypal preferences set. It was a PSA graded MJ rookie.
