Okay, so I broke down and set up a PhotoBucket account. Now, what?

Sorry everybody, but I'm just an old dog who has a hard time adjusting to new tricks. At other sites, it is just "click, click, click.......done!" What do I do now that I have some pics in Photo Bucket? Am I still required to resize photos to meet the 50kb requirement? Do I have to (manually) type in each URL if I want to post multiple photos? That seems like it could be very time-consuming. Please bear with me. When it comes to computer shortcuts, I'm not the brightest star in the universe.

Thanks!

Chris

I'm no expert but my first ones I posted were to big and I did have to resize them smaller, other than that, once their uploaded, ya just right click the img tag box under your uploaded pic, think it's the bottom one, that cuts to clipboard, then in your message right click paste and that's it...
  • Yep, there are four boxes with links under your pictures, the bottom one says IMG Code. Just Copy that and paste it in the thread.

It will put [IMG] tags around the link in your post and the pictures will show up.

Chris, just practice in the Coin Forum's "testing forum". It's the bottom "forum" in the
navigation box above your logout button on this screen.

    Let's see your pics!

  • 1. right click your cursor over the pic on your photobucket account you want to post.

    2. On the bar that comes up click "copy image location".

    3. Go to post your pic on the forum and click on the little picture icon (next to the U for Underline).

    4. right click on the box that pops up and select "paste" from the bar that comes up.

    5. You are done!

  • Thanks, guys! I'll practice a bit as suggested. Just pray that I don't put this site in a non-recoverable self-destruct sequence.

  • I finally got one to post in the Test Forum. Now, let's see if I can do it twice in a row. I haven't resized it yet, because I want to see how it looks beforehand...................

but, I hate it when this comes up in Las Vegas!

That's gotta be AT if you ask me.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!
  • I was going out my breezeway door that leads to the garage one day, and this little 4' fella was right below the threshhold of the door. The breezeway floor is stamped concrete, so he was having a hard time trying to slither through it. It was sort of like troops "marching in place". Anyway, he froze when I appeared, and I went inside to get my camera. I snapped a couple of photos, and then picked him up and took him across the yard and let him go in the vacant lot next door.

You may know this but you can upload images to the bucket at a size you pick.
Start early making different albums to keep things organized.
If you organize things later all the images you move will go down in any old post.
    Have fun.
