1933 Ruth #181 thoughts on this scan

I have a 1933 Ruth I pulled out of my "attic". I am concerned about a couple of things and would like input, especially if you have experience with the '33 set. Looking at the back bottom of the card I see the color from the front?? normal?? I am concerned about a possible "MK" from something near Ruths ear. Check it out.

I'm not sure if the bleeding through the back is "normal" as i havent seen enough of these instances to merit.
Great looking card though...must be nice to pull stuff like that out of your "attic" ha

3-4.
what else you got in that attic!?
I enlarged the photo 300x and the mark to the right of Ruth's ear
looks like a light erasure containing a very faint "z" or "2".
The "z" or "2" is closer to the border than it is to Ruth's ear.
The bleeding, as already mentioned, is very common for the 33s.
Also, looks like there's a pinhole in the lower left corner on the back ....or is that just an indentation
of some kind???
Please keep in mind that whenever a card is enlarged 300x, all types of mysterious things
show up that may or may not be anything of importance.
I'm hoping this is the case with your card.
It's a great card to own in any condition.

PappaJ - I think I am looking at a "MK" for that spot you see.
How does that affect this type of card? Does it lower the grade or add the MK which obviously lowers the value.
And the "attic" story was just for this thread, it was tucked away in my safe along with a few other treasures that I haven't bothered to look at in many years.

<< <i>Absolutely NOT a pinhole. Yes there is an indentation.

Jim,
Your card has great color, and very nice eye appeal (registration) which could mean a lot more
to someone than an MK qualifier.
As far as affecting the grade of the card, a potential MK qualifier would not necessarily drop the card
to a PSA 1 or Authentic from say a PSA 3.
An MK qualifier would certainly be less appealing to someone if it were an erasure and not a scuff.
Take a chance and ask for NO QUALIFIER when you submit it .... who knows, it may come back a
straight 2.5 or 3.5 or ?
Best news is that there's no pinhole!
I've subbed a few pre-wars for a friend and the grades were all over the place. Sometimes, the graders
are much more lenient/generous with grades on the older vintage cards.
No matter what, DO get it graded to eliminate any doubt of trimming from a potential buyer (I'm sure it isn't, but selling
it raw would raise doubt with most).
Good luck!
