Matte Proof Lincoln's for the week of 10-22

Just like old times – 29 Mattes this week. Several added from Heritage, Angel Dee’s and BRWC. Average grade is PR 65. I was “talking” to a Mattehead who like many are looking for ( ie, can only afford) coins below PR 64. But it seems of late we have seen several PR 66 and 67 examples, and now a slight down trend to 66/65. You could still make a very impressive “Fantasy” Matte set with the coins listed below. Perhaps the 64’s and below will make a comeback soon.
Till next week.

My Ebay
1934-1958 RB Lincoln Short Set
It's really a shame that all that valuable info that Bob has put together each week is really not accessible in any historically pertininent way.

WS, please take Andy's 1912 (gorgeous) off the list, as I decided to take it. I will try to get a photo soon to share. It's a blue/green toned (brown) monster. Also, I asked Brian to take my 1909 and 1911 BNs off that list. I had a moment of temporary indecision, and glad it did not cost me a coin. They are both "brown" if you read the holders. Works for me....
Even at 64-65, the coins are available, and collecting mattes can still be a blast. So long as the eye appeal is there. People tend to forget that a 65 is called a 'gem'. I hear "only" a 65 all the time, and laugh.
We are 'coin' collectors, no? Maybe 'label' collectors......
