Ok what's the secret of getting more words in the item description when selling a coin on ebay.

Sometimes I run out of space to put my title of item/coin in the first description line on ebay when selling a coin. Now I as seeing sellers put these little tiny square boxes in front of the wording and after the wording.

So what's the secret? everytime I start my description below the line it says a max of say 20 letters or less. thanks for the help.image

It's not about more words, it's about "key" words.

Rare, LQQK, WOW, AMAZING, BU, KEY DATE, Choice, Silver, Gold, ESTATE. ERROR

  • If it is a common item look back under completed items and see how others listed it.

Be sure to use correct catagory.

Leave out all the little words like 'and-is-was-if-of ''

Make a title with just key words.

Sexy, Naked & FREE are words that make more people look too.
SEXY 81-S Morgan Naked, not PCGS NGC, FREE shipping. image
Using "not" is a no-no. Dont do it, key word spamming.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

The best advertisting is often the simplest and most direct.

I listed a "SEXY NAKED L@@K!!! NO RESERVE 99¢ START, FREE SHIPPING, CHECK MY FEEDBACK" and didn't realize I had used up all my characters and "PCGS MS-63 18881-S Morgan" got left out and still got 3 bids.

Yea I get all of this my friends, but if selling a coin say a 1881s Morgan silver dollar coin pcgs or ngc or icg. Don't most coin collectors enter that keyword "Coins" or any other keyword to get to what they want to buy?

Sexy Naked is fine but where will coins, or morgans or 1881s come up on advance search?

Furthermore just log on today and look at some sellers item description and count the letters, spaces or words and tell me they are more than you can list yourself. thanks

  • Maybe some examples of the auction numbers you are talking about would be helpful?

No, because you will find all 20,000,000 coins listed on eBay. You enter the kind of coin you're looking for, that's your keywords.
Sexy L@@K & FREE only catches your attention of a particular auction in the list of search results and has nothing to do with the actual search.
Unless you're looking for free sex.
