First BCS standings come out......

What does everyone think? I was quite shocked to see UF so low. They might not be top 3 at the moment, but I think they should be a few spots higher than 10. Ball State and Tulsa are both jokes. Yeah, they might be solid teams in their respective conferences, but they'd get KILLED in a bowl game of any meaning. Tulsa's hardest game this year is @ Arkansas in a few weeks, that sums up how easy they've got it.

1. Texas 7-0
2. Alabama 7-0
3. Penn State 8-0
4. Oklahoma 6-1
5. USC 5-1
6. Oklahoma State 7-0
7. Georgia 6-1
8. Texas Tech 7-0
9. Ohio State 7-1
10. Florida 5-1
11. Utah 8-0
12. Boise State 6-0
13. LSU 5-1
14. TCU 7-1
15. Missouri 5-2
16. South Florida 6-1
17. Pitt 5-1
18. Georgia Tech 6-1
19. Tulsa 7-0
20. Ball State 7-0
21. BYU 6-1
22. Northwestern 6-1
23. Kansas 5-2
24. Minnesota 6-1
25. Florida State 5-1

<< <i>Looks okay for the most part though I'm not following college football as religiously as in years' past. However, they seriously need to create a playoff system. I can't imagine that they wouldn't make TONS more money if they got together and worked through all of the politics to make it happen. >>

I always disagree with this statement. It would take away so much meaning from highly ranked teams playing each other midseason - like Texas/Oklahoma last weekend and Penn St/Ohio St next weekend. If you're for just a plus one after the Bowl games, I can see that, but not an 8 or 16 team playoff. It would really take away from the "every week is a playoff" system that exists now. Ultimately, the revenue wouldn't eclipse the bowls - which make a TON of money now. It would only make games like the Poulin Weedeater Bowl even more meaningless.
