And by "Rays fans" you mean Goot, right? He's the only real Rays fan I know. Congrats Goot. I hope you enjoy watching your team in the WS as much as I've enjoyed watching the Sox over the past couple years. There's nothing quite like it.

There are Rays fans? I mean, Rays fans since at least the beginning of the season? Can't be many.

But, hats off to the Tampa Bay Rays on a fantastic season. Good luck in the W.S.

  • Nothing about being a Rays fan. I think most sport fans in general like to see the over hype and overpaid teams lose. Whether that team is the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Patriots, the Cowboys, the Lakers...et al. And who doesn't like to see the little guy win.

Congrats to Rays. Good season Red Sox. Great series overall. To bad baseball isn't always this exciting.

  • What a game, very close and I thought Boston might pull it off inthe 8th but it was not to be...GONRATS TO THE RAYS AND THEIR FANS!!

It's also nice to see you can go from worst to the Series in one year. Give me faith in my lowly M's! AMAZING....

I'd love to see Jamie Moyer with a ring, but I still have to say 'Go Rays!!!!'

Lightning didn't play tonight but lost in a SO vs. Minnesota last night........they suck (0-2-3). USF beat Syracuse 45-13 though and are #16 in the BCS! GOOOO TAMPA

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

Congrats to the Rays fans. I know I was cheering for the underdog.

Not to offend anyone here, and I know Goot is a true fan of his team, but I couldn't help but think that of all those people cheering at the game, the vast majority probably couldn't name 3 players on that team back in June. I just get the feeling that there were a lot of bandwagoners there last night. Nothing wrong with cheering for the local team, but I just don't think most of those people were there for the Rays through the bad times like most real fans are.

Anyways, congrats to the Rays fans and good luck. I'll probably be on your bandwagon for the next couple weeks, then it's back to being miserable with my own team.

No question the bandwagon fans filled probably 75% of the stadium last night.... The same thing happend with the Bucs back in the 80's and early 90's.... Once they started winning then Bucs games became a Hot ticket...

    Congratulation to the Rays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a casual fan of the Rays over the past 7-8 years in the Orlando area who just jumped on the bandwagon...... imageimage

Sorry, Dave. The Mariner's can't go from worst to first. It's in their contract I think. image Of course, if they continue to be the worst team for several years and rack up a bunch of #1 overall draft picks it might happen eventually.
