Official Thread Of (Hopefully) An 0-16 Season By The Bengals And/Or Lions

I've been waiting for the "right" time to start this thread. Every NFL season, I hope for two (2) things. One is for the 49ers to win the Super Bowl (uh, not going to happen this year, or next, or ...) and for a team to go 0-16. I think now is as good a time as any.

The Bengals looked "really good" in falling to 0-7 after today's loss to the Steelers. Next up is on the road at Houston, which looks like a potentially winnable game.

No, my true hopes are on the 0-5 Lions. And while the game isn't over, they're currently down 14-0 to Houston with 1:42 to go in the first quarter.

I would put my money on the Lions if I had to choose between the two

You never know. It's really hard to go 0-16 in the NFL. And let's not forget that we thought the Rams were one of the worst teams of all time with as good a chance to go 0-16 as anyone.

Still, of these two I think the Lions have the best chance to "run the table."

It's weird. I'm almost angry about the Rams' two straight wins. We had a chance to have something specially awful here.

Well, I still think the Lions have the better chance of going 0-16. But clearly the Bengals looked the worse of the two after getting pounded 35-6 by Houston, while the Lions looked average losing 25-17 to Washington.

Next week, the Benagls host Jacksonville and the Lions go on the road to Chicago.

  • No they don't play each other.

The Lions actually have a few tough games left, the Bears, Colts, Titans, Vikings, Green Bay...OK, maybe the last two are not that super tough, but half their games remaining should be blow outs. They have the best chance at 0-16 I think.
