Irish Collectors

I have the following two coins which I possibly will sell ( if the price is right of course ):
1940 PCGS MS64 BN 1 Penny
1968 NGC PF64 BN 1 Penny Toned ( although I think that the designation should be RB ) - a very pretty coin though.
Please feel free to make an offer or request photographs through PM.
Many thanks,
ZAR

on it for anyone thinking about it.
The 1940 Penny @ 312,000 minted it is by far the Key to
the series - the 1962 @ 1,200,000 has the second lowest
mintage.
Below is pricing form the 08 Krause DVD - Note
the lack of info for BU examples...

Could you post a picture of the 1940 Penny?
Send it through PM if you like - though I think
others may like a peek at it

Here is a rough guide to Irish coin prices.
Zar's Ebay
The Irish 1968 1d. coin is common as muck, even in the top grades.
I picked up an example of the Irish 1940 1d. a few years ago to add into my collection.
Aidan.
Bear in mind that the 1968 is a Proof coin not a regular strike.
Also I think that the toning is very pretty.

The 1940 looks more attractive than the 1968,in my view.I've got a 1940 1 Penny in my collection anyway,as I found it when sorting out a lot of Irish bronze coins at work a few years ago.
Aidan.

Thanks for the link. I have an old cardboard mint set composed of various dates from the 1940's with all the denominations, in nice original unc condition. It will be interesting to see approximately what they are worth.
