Just picked this up on ebay thanks to a heads up from a fellow forum member:

I now have the 09, 09 VDB, 09-S and 09-S VDB all in rattler MS65RB. Now I just gotta find the proofs! image

That's a cool little collection you have going on the side there TDN.

I've seen an 09-VDB Proof in a 65RB rattler so it's out there somewhere (unless it's been cracked out). As for the 09 proof, I'm sure there are a few lurking around.

Now, that is cool! All you need is one of those rattler PCGS slab boxes that every now and then turn up on eBay.

    Nothing like a matched set.
It would be interesting to hear your comments on how they compare to each other TDN.

Now you can join Lee's copper for the weekend clic

Can you give us your rationale behind the yearning for rattlers?

    thanks

i dont mean to seem like i'm answering for TDN but the cool factor of a rattler aside, i would think the fact that copper has remained RB and not gone full BN in that time would be evidence of a very stable specimen

Just happened to buy the 09-S cuz I liked the coin and then the 09-VDB for a type set. By coincidence, they were both in rattlers and both in the same grade. Then the 09-SVDB came along in the same holder and grade and for the first time I thought 'hey, why not do a matching set'!

Good luck with the proofs! The 1909-S proof will be really difficult to find.

How about that feedback system ? (thread prodding)
On the numismatic side, it looks like a good strike with nice color. (not that I can tell via THAT photo image )
