A bounty on coins Thread & Poll

Why doesn't the mint have a bounty on orbs of copper, nickel, silver, gold & platinum ?
If they buy it low and sell it high, they won't have to shut off sales to protect our money.

Not sure this provides any advantage over bullion. They don't use copper anymore (in quantity) and the silver 90% junk trades as bullion anyway. --Jerry

I suggested Copper Eagles erlier in the Year.

I think having the US Mint eplore the [possibilities of creating copper widgets is a great idea! Given the proper design or even a crappy design they could make a ton of money off us OCDer's!
