Simple question.

What do you guys want to see more?

A Phillies WS win?

An Eagles Superbowl win?

Also tell me why.

All kidding aside, for me a Penn State national football championship trumps both an Eagles and Phillies championship, as much as I passionately want to see both of those events occur. I think that probably most college grads who are college football fans, as well as NFL fans, feel that way about their schools.

Also for me, an Eagles championship would slightly trump a Phillies championship.

I'd love to see the Phils win the Series this year but if I had to pick one I'd pick the Eagles first. Philly used to be a baseball town but probably over the last twenty
years it has become a football town. During the the baseball playoffs and the Phillies winning throughout, much of the talk on sports radio was still about how the
Birds played against the Redskins and Bears. Andy Reid's pathetic coaching has been the subject of much discussion. That and his hard head of not realizing his
drafts have stunk the last few years. He needs to go!

The Phillies had lots of chances to win the hearts of the city and become the number one sport years ago. Their lackluster play years ago and their inability to
compete with the Yankees and Red Stink Sox has made it hard each season for sure. I'm a Phillies phan until the end but you have to live here I think to appreciate
how hard it has been. Watching other teams sign the top pitchers with crazy money, losing stars like Rolen, Thome, Polanco, Rowand, Schilling to name a few, watching
our farm system stink and guys not doing well here like Gavin Floyd or Silva (only do to well elsewhere), and then not picking up the key free agent at third or catcher.
These are just some of the suffering moments to have gone through the last twenty years. At times it seemed we were out of the race before it started. Now the
last couple years has been great. Beating the Mets for the division and now winning with a core group that has been here has been awesome.

If we do not win it, I'm nervous the window closes quickly. Pat "The Bat" will likely be gone. Hamels was pissed off before the season started at the lackluster contract
he had. Howard has to go through arbitration AGAIN! The Flyin Hawaiian, Werth, Ruis are going to want more dough. Still need better starting pitching too.

Now while the Eagles window may have closed they do on occasion land the free agent and compete against the hated division rivals. So they could easily compete
again and the league parity might put as back winning again. I mean just look at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They stink and are able to win right now with two terrible
QB's. So maybe we can too.

The Birds have just taken over Philly. I don't know why it still is with the Phillies winning but the Birds are the town right now. Another example. After a Phillies playoff
win over the Dodgers and an Eagles game, Comcast Sportsnet cable had the Eagles post game on over the Phillies. Leading the way was our own Gov Eddie Rendall.
Him and Vaughn Hebron were ready to go at it seemed on the poor play at times.

Hope this rambling means something.

Go Phils!!!!

phillies, cause I think it's infinitely harder to win the WS than it is to win the superbowl.

football comes down to too much luck. baseball championships are worth more.
