I hate his mechanics with a passion. not being a bosox fan, I have to guess cause I dont know: is he prone to long slumps? when his reaction time goes, his swing will 100% disappear, just like Mike Piazza. succeeds in hitting DESPITE himself. (sheffield too, for that matter)

He does have a horrible stance and mechanics. Kids should imitate JD Drew, not Youk.

Remarkably, Youk has never really gone into a long slump that I can recall. If he does, I hope the Sox lure away the instructor that worked with Ryan Howard after the All Star break.
