Recent Heritage Auction partial PSA set pickup

I was the high bidder on this 1971 Kellogg lot of 32 cards for $600 ($717 with buyers premium). I think this was a pretty good deal when you consider the four PSA 10's. I haven't decided but I may look to build a complete set at some point in the future.

I too won a lot with much less than my maximum bid, other stuff went too rich for my blood!
  • Always loved the Kellogg's cards. I am working on the 74 and 82 sets...but have not picked up any the last couple months. Good luck on the set if you decide to finish it. Always liked that Jim Palmer card for some reason.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Thanks. I think I will pursue building a complete set even though it will be a daunting task. I have always liked the look of the 1971's (both Topps and Kellogg's).

Since I won a 1971 Pete Rose psa 9 as part of this lot I have decided to place my Beckett 8 Pete Rose for auction. I have had this card for years. It is the old Beckett label with the subgrades. It looks every bit as good as the PSA 9 and would be a worthy candidate for a crossover to PSA.
