Was there more than one Bicentennial Design per denomination?

I don't think so, thus I feel that this Lincoln cent has too many designs; but I guess that's what the theme of our coins is now-a-days!!!
  • It would have been more meaningful for just one redesign versus four.

Over a 1 year period of time I don;t think that 4 is too many. These will be highly collected though and I don;t think that many will make it into circulation. Remember the Bison Nickels of 2004? Some folks still have never seen one.

    From the article:

"it seems odd that what are likely to be the cheapest offerings to collectors in years are what are having the potshots taken at them."

From a monetary value of 1 cent, I don;t think for a second that these will be cheap. I expect around an $8.95 offering for either a P & D Roll Set (similar to the Jeffersons) or four individual coins.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I think 4 is ok. More collecting interest from the masses, like the SHQ's.

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

So, what will be the new design for 2010 or will they go back to the LMC design?

  • It will be a boom for the coin error section on Ebay.
Every minor die chip-gouge-crack-clash or hint of doubling will get a catchy name and 15 minutes of fame.
With all the digital microscopes out there there should be a new category just for micro errors.
