Live Stack's auction at the CoinFest Show--the Haverford Collection sale is now up....

As everyone knows, the CoinFest show is coming up in November. It will feature a live auction by Stack's of the Haverford Collection. I noticed that the auction listing is now up on the Stack's site.

As the unofficial goodwill ambassador of this show, I hope to see many board members there.

I think that it is very charitable for Stack's to provide auction support for this coin show of and for the masses. Do they get some sort of write-off for this or is it all goodwill?

Remember, this is toney south western Connecticut, which is commonly referred to as the Gold Coast (although it might be considered the stainless steel coast now, after the financial meltdown). I am not sure if the auction will cater to the numismatic unwashed, although all are welcome to attend.

It's nice that Stacks will be hosting an auction, but honestly, I was a bit disappointed by the material. For me there was not one thing worth bidding or even tracking.
