ESPN is reporting that the Players' association says teams acted in concert to not sign Bonds.
First off, let me say that I am a Barry Bonds fan and wanted him to play this year. That said, this is nothing more than a huge waste of time.
Even if every single owner in baseball signed an affidavit saying that they all colluded against Bonds, then what? Sure, the Commissioner and/or the Court could imposed penalities on the owners. But what would that do other than lighten the owner pockets.
Simply stated, no one and nothing on this Earth can force what would truly make a difference, e.g. SOMEONE TO GIVE BARRY BONDS A JOB. In other words, no one can force an owner to give Bonds a job.
