Does anyone know if John and Nancy Wilson ever publish numismatic writings separately?
First, let me say that no one loves reading numismatic script penned by John and Nancy Wilson more than Longacre. They seem to contribute a great deal to Coin World, the Numismatist, and other publications, such as the Esylum.
However, one thing continues to bother me for some reason. Do John and Nancy Wilson ever write anything separately? I honestly cannot recall reading something that was written and then signed by "John Wilson" or "Nancy Wilson", individually, as the author. It seems to always be "John and Nancy Wilson".
Now don't get me wrong, no one has more respect for the sanctity of the marital institution than I do, and I think it is great that these numismatists write as a couple, but does anyone know if they type a word each, alternating words equally, whenever they publish something? Or do they take a paragraph each? I work closely with Mrs. Longacre on many things, but I cannot imagine consistently publishing things as a couple, rather than having individual indentities.
This thread is not meant to be negative (again, I love their writing), but I was just curious why the Wilsons write like this.

If Longacre posted questions to the E-Sylum, he'd have to use his real name.
Plus, I think Wayne keeps a lid on goofy questions.

Have you ever read about those conjoined twins - I think they are teenagers now? Sometimes they are on TV, the Discovery channel or something like that. Anyway, they literally can do what you describe, and in almost any situation - like running and stuff they do completely naturally even though each only controls one leg. It is way cool. I read one thing where one said to the other, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" and the other answered "Yes," like they share the same brain circuits or something. It completely challenges your notions of what personal identity is. They are on YouTube too I think.

I believe Longacre has posted to the E-Sylum using his real name, and if memory serves that's how I learned who it was, because a very similar question had been posed in the forum a few days earlier.
Why, he'd be besieged by his fans whenever he went to Baltimore - his hand would fall off from all the autographs he'd be asked for!
