could someone explain the "economics" of buyng the first spouse gold coins. I notice that the Dolley Madison has a lower price than the newer coins. can you give me the pros and cons of buying these as a precious metals play, or should you not play with them at all? thanks

1/2 ounce gold. Same as the gold eagles and buffalos the mint puts out.
The reason the 2008 1st spouse tend to be priced higher than the 2007 ones is the mint raised the issue price for the 2008's.
