What should a SCG 96 cross over to and should I bother?

I bought a 1969 Topps Clay Caroll SGC96 card and it looks mint to me-is this grade equal to a PSA 9?

  • SGC 96 = PSA 9
    SGC 98 = PSA 10

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

Don't give PSA any ideas... I already don't like the .5 idea.

Wow in a few years maybe a upgrade to a 9.5 I opened packs in 1969 and never saw a card like this!
