Thank you Bochiman for the proof!

Mesquite, is that the Declaration of Independence on sale at the BEP for $200, in the background? I've had my eye on that item, for a while now, but $200 just seems like a lot of cash for a big piece of paper.

Maybe with luck, the BEP will clear them out for $50 some day.

FullStrike - no, it is just a high resolution (4.5 MB) picture I pulled off the internet. I used it as a background and simply pasted in the the coin pics.

Not remotely "US patriotic". Oops. I am not doing to well tonight with post coordination.

But if you look closely, there is a nice oversized Texas commemorative.

And yeah, there is a 'constitution signing coin', but it came from the mexican mint.

Never realized those Connecticuts were so beautiful. I think I need to check one out at the next Coin Show in Baltimore. I'm done with ordering online.

That Deco eagle is so butch. Like the Peace dollar eagle on steroids. Defines a distinct period at the Mint.

WTF is that one? A medal? looks like a grinch-like eagle hell-bent on terrorizing the town. Either that or he was just too big for the planchet and had to be squeezed in there. Wonderfully bizarre anyway.

What better place to be patriotic and pose for a photograph, than at the local drinking establishment?

I would guess somewhere in New York City. Part of the S.Liebmann's sign (the maker of Rheingold Beer) can be seen under the OUTING banner in the center. Liebmann's was a very large brewery at that time and located in Brooklyn.
