    Where did you buy it?

Sweet! Hope you have good luck. I struck out with one on Monday. A couple Griffeys but all black Johnsons (is it bad that I laughed when I typed that?) and black box Ripkens.
  • Well through about 6 packs one Griffey, a BB Ripken and a black-out Johnson. So may just leave the rest sealed
  • No Bills on top of racks..image

I have 5 rack cases coming from 3 sellers. Cant wait !!

Which black box Ripken? Is it the jagged white line one?

How about Brookens/Heath's - that seems to be a good sign of what's to come. If they're corrected, you're probably not going to get much.
  • nope..
  • I have only seen one Heath Brookens so far and it is on a top of one I have not opened yet.

A few years ago I bought a factory set case wondering if I'd get lucky, but all Ripkens were Black Box. This was long before I was on this forum. I would have probably asked 1989FBRC and he would have said "DUH, YOU'LL GET BLACK BOXES!". Were any of the FFs distributed in Factory Sets? I still pulled all of the (Black) Johnsons, Griffeys, Sheffields, and other Stars & HOFers. Is there anyone interested in what's left over? All commons. Still in the factory set boxes and main box. It's heavy, and it's taking up prime closet space! image
  • Yeah, Almost 100% they all have BBox. A few sellers have said in their listing you could get any version and when I used to ask them, (to get opinions/knowledge, as Beckett stated they were most likely BBox but I wanted to get more confirmation) most were unaware they were packaged at the end of the run and others thought I was lying to them for whatever reason.

On a side note, I think Bill (don't call him Billy) was a heck-of-a defensive second baseman. He couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag, but I used to love watching him in the field. He made some incredible plays!
  • Still haven't got mine yet.
