Ok, well you know the grade, so it doesn't really matter. I said 7 because of the tilt and the top 2 corner touches. If I'm that far off I likely won't lose that much sleep

Well, everyone is right...it actually recieved 3 grades...
BVG 7
BVG Altered
PSA 8
here's the story...
I saw this card on ebay, and looked at the subs, and thought centering 6.5? What are they thinking?
I bought the card, with plans to crack the case and submit to PSA, hoping for at least a 7.5, but thought it also had a good chance for an 8.5.
Well shortly after recieving it, there was a card show in Hollywood Park, but PSA was not there, but BVG was, so I thought what the heck for $10 (I think thats how much it was), lets see if they will give it an 8 or better since that 6.5 sub was a joke.
They said it should just take a couple hours and it was almost 4 hours, and they wouldn't grade it saying that it was trimmed slightly on the middle of the right border?
OMG, man am I pissed if this thing is trimmed....but I thought maybe it was trimmed, and they didn't catch it the first time.
I took it home compared it to another and it's exactly same size, even when scanning at 500% and checking lines. I want to know what the hell they use at the shows to determine it was trimmed.
Anyway, I finally got it back from psa. So beckett undergraded it the first time, but slabbed it, and then the 2nd time they said it wasn't worthy of a slab....geesh...
In hand the card is pack fresh and better than ANY 7 i have ever seen. It may an ever so slight tilt, but i have seen worse on 8's and 9's.

<< <i>Very nice card with great color. Slight tilt and some printing ink issues down the left side would keep me from grading it too high. Could be 7 or 8. >>
Scans are in, see previous page.
(sweet card)
I guess when they are at a show, they are too scared to give a decent grade or what?
I even told the guy after they he handed it back to me as altered, that it was in a BVG 7 case a few hours ago, and they said that I should have left it in the case..he also said many times people try to pass altered cards at shows, so what, now they are scared, and say everything is altered?
So it went from being a $100 card to a $30 card to a $250 card...
Anyway, I think it finally got the grade it deserved in the first place, although I was hoping for an 8.5 or better...it really seemed pack fresh in hand....
I recently saw an ARod 1994 Flair BGS 9.5 that had a sub of 10 for Centering. The centering was so far off that the cursive foil "F" in Flair was almost touching the top edge and his entire right shoe was completely visible with dirt underneath! I hate to mention that the back had two print lines running across it, too. Surface graded 9.5. Yup, "WAG!"

Thanks...i have gone the other way too...this once was a psa 2, and at the time i had all bvg, so i crossed it over and was pleasantly surprised.
(for the record, all my vintage are all psa Now, except for one bvg left, and it is on ebay).
