Does anyone know if Stack's is still selling ABNCo plates?

I really like the ABNCo plates, and I think they were a stroke of marketing genius by Stack's. I don't recall, however, that they have been offered in any recent catalogs. I might have missed the last Stack's catalog or two, so maybe they were offered recently. Does anyone know if these plates are still being sold, or have they been sold recently and I just missed them?

I am sure that they will offer them in the future. I am pretty sure that there were some in August and will almost certainly be some in January at their Americana sale.

I do not think that they have all been sold.

What are these plates bringing on the secondary market?

My two cents: We bought 2 interesting looking (and inexpensive) Washington themed pieces a while ago, sold them for about a 10% mark-up and that was it. I haven't seen many others being offered - most seem to have gone to collectors.

This strikes me as the kind of promotion that would not do so well on the secondary market. When there is a large selection to begin with there is something for everyone, but if you are trying to sell a specific piece you have to find the right buyer & with a much smaller net.

I thought they were interesting - I bid on a couple Chicago-themed pieces but got blown out of the water.

For the diehards, there is an ABN Company history book, there was a copy in David Sklow's last mail bid sale.
