    Lee,

I've seen one numbered box. It was the Hundley/Mays/Hunter box (46-48) from the 1991 Copeland auction. Oddly, these are the same three cards that have been missing from the only two "complete" sets that I've seen for sale. My theory (probably way off base) is that Bazooka mocked up a complete box using those three players only, and that the other 45 numbered test cards were printed on a single sheet.

    For what it's worth.

I would agree with Bob...I dont think any numbered boxes where made beside the 46-48 box-I have seen numbered panels-they are on a white cardboard stock as opposed to grey stock.I feel it is pretty safe to assume that.I have been looking hard for # boxes for 10 years and I have not found, seen or heard of any.

Your theory sounds like it makes sense.

I do have a panel, with a Reds player on it, of course !

And a single of Pete Rose.
