ebay shill bidding?

Price and bidding seems suspicious for a common date/grade.

I sure hope so. I don't see that it's a rare variety. I have a 78-S ending tonight someone can have for half that, and the picture's a little better, too. I wonder if there's a discussion board for bidiots where you can tell them you have RARE L@@K G@@D STUFF 4 SALE.

I would guess that the high bidder thinks that this is a long nock reverse variety, and either the underbidder is chasing it for the same reason, or is a shill for the seller who may have been told that it appears to be a long nock. IMHO it is just a strong strike of the short nock reverse.

  • Looks like a goofy bidding pattern. The underbidder has too many winning bids on other auctions to clearly show as a shill. He has bid on 29 other unique sellers and is winning several.

Could still be a shill, but not nearly as obvious as most shills.

That makes a strong case for the benefits of sniping.
Witty sig line currently under construction. Thank you for your patience.

It's bidding history should be titled "why we snipe"

The underbidder slowly inched it up over many many bids, if the winning bidder had not placed his high bid when he did the underbidder would have stopped then the winner could have sniped it for a lot less.

there is no way to prove or disprove the rampant shilling that go's on every day @ eBay with their stupid shielding of bidders

indeed. if their earnings slip even more, you can see even less intervention by eBay to stop shill bidders (or even make it look as if they're trying to)

You may even see eBay doing the shill bidding.

How does bidding in individual increments instead of a large proxy bid make a shill?
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

That seems to be the more common practice for some reason. Most of the shills I've clearly identified in the past followed that pattern but there are both types.
