Yes it's true, all coins are going to stop. The US is out of money so how can we continue to make more.

I did a little searching on the US Mint website and various news databases and found no mention of discontinuing the Kennedy Half, so I would assume the mint will continue cranking them out.

I have a possibly dumb question in the same vein... what about the quarters, once the add-on territories are done, now that the states have run their course? Do we go back to the old eagle reverse in 2010, or something else?

And the cents, once next years commems are done? I guess the cents might go the way of the dinosaur.

For that matter, I haven't kept up with the nickels ever since the commems on those a few years ago.

I am woefully underinformed on the newer stuff, having spent most of my time looking back rather thinking much about current or future coins.

Very understandable, I cannot imagine the amount of time it takes to be a World Numismatist......Lord.......give yourself a break, sit down and crack open a roll of Lincolns..relax!

All kidding aside, I'm amazed that anyone could keep up with World Coins, I have so many books spread around my work area that they make a path in a otherwise open room,

And I have not even touched the surface of 1/4 of the US coins in this century.....Lord M....

I'll abide by the doctor's orders. Have several unopened rolls of BU Wheaties I have been meaning to peek at. Not OBWs or anything- just plastic tubes I got in a deal months ago. One is all 1951-D. Another is mixed, and that is the one that intrigues me. I pulled a monster toned 1944 off the end.

So I'll do some Lincoln-lookin'.

As to keeping up with the entire world, nobody could probably do that. That's what the Krause catalogs are for.
