Just curious-- was anyone here enticed to attend the Whitman Baltimore show due to the discounted ai
I was reading the latest issue of Coin World, and one thing struck me as very interesting. In today's day and age, it seems that Corporate Conglomerates get all of the benefits of society. Just yesterday, we saw that the IRS has opened up a special loophole for multinational corporations which allows them to repatriate cash tax free to the US from foreign jurisidictions, to ease the credit crisis. Your very own Longacre has spent most of the day trying to quantify how to take advantage of this special benefit by the government.
In the coin world, I see that Whitman has used its corporate muscle to get reduced rates on airfares to its Baltimore shows. If a mere member of the numismatic unwashed called American Airlines or Airtran and asked for a 5%-10% discount on airfare, we would get laughed at. However, Whitman has secured a special code that can be used to get such a discount on flights to Baltimore.
Is anyone here enticed by this special airfare offer, and is now planning on attending the Baltimore show, when they were not previously? I guess 5% or 10% is nothing to sneeze at. I am just curious.
