Turks and Caicos 5-crown 1994 - need KM info
I need the Krause info on this coin. Can anyone look it up? I have misplaced my Krause catalogs - Grrr.
I need to know mintage, alloy, size, KIM# and designer info if available. I won this as a door prize at a Sacramento Coin show from Griffin Coins - What a NEAT PIECE!
Thank you.

It's KM132, struck in copper-nickel, and my 2007 lists it as a prooflike issue with values of $5.00 XF, $10.00 UNC, and $12.00 BU.
If it has nice prooflike mirrors in hand, you have yourself a BU coin worth twelve bucks. The designer was Don Everhart II.
I see it has a lettered edge with alternating reeded and smooth portions and the word PEACE. That's pretty nifty.
Nice door prize- congrats!
BTW, Krause also says this was a "salute to the American Numismatic Association and coin collecting," but you probably deduced that from the design.
Thank you for the info! You are THE MAN!
I didn't even see the edge lettering - doh!

That's a very nice Turks & Caicos Islands 5 Crowns medal-coin that you've got there.I've been informed that 5 Crowns is worth US$5 in face value. Those who cash them in are nuts,as they are very scarce medal-coins.
I have got a couple of them, but not the A.N.A. commemorative though.

Thank your for the nice words about the coin. The design struck my fancy. I enjoyed the look of the piece and had fun photographing it. I put it up on Ebay yesterday.
Cheers,
Bob
