Where are the "review" specials.

When the .5 thing came around I wanted to believe that it was done at least 1% for the hobby and 99% for money with review submissions. Now I know that it was 0 % for the hobby and 100 % for money. These cards have already been graded. I would bet that these cards get a quick glance when in the grading room and that's it. Where's the justification for charging the full grading fee to review the card in it's own company's holder? They're not taking it out of the holder unless they deem it bump worthy. The customer is insuring the cards for full value on return shipment. They're not having to handle it like they would a raw card. I ask again----- Why are they charging full tier price to review cards? Some may say, "I sent my 1960 Aaron in for review and it got a 8.5; I made $1000." This is not the point. PSA is in place to authenticate cards not to sell them. What about the nearly 1000 cards I graded the year prior to the .5. Alot of those cards were 50's- 70's commons and some are definately high end for the grade. I should send my 71's in again for review-- I think not. I had a sub in as they were starting the .5 and it was graded under the whole number system. Customer service emailed me before it was shipped and asked if I wanted it reviewed. At first I thought they were going to look at the cards as a courtesy because of the conflicting grading standards, but then she said I would pay all of the fees again. I told her to just go ahead and ship them. Bottom line is PSA should be reviewing cards for about $2-$5 a card. The only exception to this whole theory is that they may not have alot of confidence in the original grades in regards to altering and have to take a serious look at the cards. I seen alot of suspect cards lately. Well thanks for letting me get that out. I do sell cards but I love the cards for the history and it's players, not just for the money.

did you contact anyone at PSA to get a deal on the reviews after it was announced? They clearly said they would give a break on bigger reviews.

    Drewsef,
I have not contacted PSA about review discounts. I've heard that to get discounts you have to send like 500 cards or something like that. And then the discount is .50 or $1.00. Someone on the board just recently called them about grading a whole 600 card set and they referred them to the monthly special. I just don't agree with the pricing for the reviews.
