How would you label your collecting style?

I thought it would be interesting to see everyone's general collecting trends.

So, if you had to pick one category that mostly fits your niche in the hobby, would it be set builder, type set collector, player collector, team collector, game used collector, era collector, college team collector, HOF collector, Oddity collector, or other?

I'm primarily a set collector, and enjoy completing annual sets. This is how I first got into the hobby, and it fits my personality. My favorite sets are primarily football: 1935 National Chicle, 1948 Bowman, 1950 Felts, 1952 Bowman large, 1957 Topps, 1962 Topps, and 1965 Topps.

I am primarily an era collector..1948-1959 football.

I used to be an era collector like Ryan- 50-57 Football but recently settled down and am trying to focus on completing a set of 52 Football.

I always thought set collecting was not for me but since I started I have become really into it, in order to keep from going insane though I am going to also have a side project of putting together the 1950 Los Angeles Rams team set.

Call me erratic. I used to collect specific players and still do to an extent but now I just get specific cards I like (mainly graded '80s hockey). I've also dabbled in graded wax packs. Oh, and have kinda sorta been collecting a 1985 OPC hockey set in PSA 9 but it's slow going.

A type set can be a collection of cards that are all of some "type" to the collector. For example, I once put together a "type" set that consisted of at least one Topps football card from every year from 1952 through 1980. I've met people that collect cards of Jewish players, which would be a type set. You could have a "type" set of all players whose names are particularly interesting to you, like Rusty Kuntz. Of course, team sets, player sets, HOF sets are all examples of type sets too, so the sets I listed aren't unique...

That would probably be me then. I collect primarly rookie cards of HoFers, award winners, and other notable players.
