phillies with home field advantage. I thought it was odd that Torre was saying how he thought the dodgers had the advantage cause they didn't have the pressure of playing at home first.

(which, IMHO is BS)... let the headgames BEGIN!

If Cole and Brett are the one-two punch we had against the Brewers, then we are in very good shape.

Phillies are playing solid baseball right now, and their bats woke up today. I just see the Phillies as being very tough to beat in this series, but again, should be a good one.

Not sure with the Dodgers - Cubs if the result was more because of the Dodgers playing well, or the Cubs playing poor, I guess perhaps a combination of both, but I just don't see the Dodgers as being a red hot team like the Rockies were last season against the Phillies, despite the Dodgers taking 3 in a row from the Cubs.

Thursday night will be the biggest game the Phillies have played in a long time, and only death will keep me away from it, and maybe not even that. LOL

I'm sure it will be a great series and I will pulling for the Dodgers. The Dodgers pitching staff had the best ERA during the year and their lineup was tweaked all year long by Torre. The Dodgers now have a very solid infield that will make the plays when the pitchers give up their high percentage ground balls. I have loved Nomar during his career, but he is better on the bench as Loney is a gamer and getting better defensively and offensively. The Dodgers just got Furcal back which is big and have Dewitt at 2B with Kent staying on the bench....Kent played defense like he was 50 years old!! And the Dodgers are getting offensive production throughout their lineup and they did it against some very good Cubs pitchers. Yes the Cubs made some key errors but that's what happens when you get baserunners in scoring position and other runners being agressive and having hitters hitting the ball hard. The hitters were able to take advantage of each situation.

All in all I would say the Dodgers are hot and certainly got the breaks over the NL's best team.

Can't wait for Thursday night! The Phillies played well all year and deserve to be in the NLCS so it will be very tough for the Dodgers.
