Good luck to the rest....

Best of luck to the rest of the teams in the playoffs. As a lifelong Cub fan, deep down I knew it would end this way. No offense to any of the other teams, but I'm looking forward to a Phills/Dodgers NLCS and wouldn't mind a Phills/Sox series. Only reason I would rather see a Dodgers/Rays or Sox series is not because I have anything against the Phills, just because I am already sick and tired of hearing from their fans here and don't want to have to read about it in threads for the next 6 months!

Carpe Diem!

I promise no more than ten new Phillies threads per day after we win the World Series.....except on holidays and weekends that may be increased. LOL

I'm very excited as a Dodger fan to advance in the playoffs, but they beat one of the teams I really didn't want to see lose. The Cubs just happened to play against a team that is hot and has great pitching and their batting has been very timely. Not to mention their defense has been very solid and has gotten all the right bounces.

My late father grew up in Champaign, Illinois and even went to some Cubs games as a kid back in the early 40's and stayed a Cubs fan until he came out to California in the 60's. I think the Cubs are in a good spot to do even more next year.

Cubs had a great season, NL's best record and it put them into the playoffs. Maybe next year will be the year for the Cubs.
