What happened, is it just me?

tcmitssrtcmitssr Posts: 1,570 ✭✭✭
I entered this site last night and, for the first time, the contents page (topic name, who started it, posts etc.) no longer fit on one page. Now I have to move my screen, side to side, to read everything.

To the best of my knowledge, absolutely nothing changed from my end on my computer. I'm 100 percent sure of this.

Has this occurred to anyone else? If so, how did you fix things to return to normal?

Thanks in advance!

I get the impression that some folks don't have wide screens.

These folks must also hate some of my photos which are also rather wide.

Unfortunately, I just don't see the scrolling issue with screens that are 1600+ pixels wide.

It is very unfortunate to see a horizontal scroll bar because of google ads.

You can fix it with your IE settings, or if you use Firefox, download AdBlock Plus.

Do a search on the forum. Unless they got zapped, there are some threads on how to get rid of the ads.

I don't see them anymore, thanks to the quick fix solutions posted.

He's talking about something different LM.

I'm one of those toiling with a smaller monitor.
I appreciate it when larger images are aligned vertically.

Ah. OK. Sounded like somebody else who had the screen become too wide due to the new Google ads.

I try to keep my images under 800 pixels wide, which fits fine on my average-sized monitor screen.

I agree, though, it is kind of annoying when some too-large images stretch everything out, necessitating a scroll back and forth to read everything. I've accidentally been guilty of this a time or two. Agree that big pix should be stacked rather than displayed beside one another.
