Can you post a picture of Liberty's eye? Also the olive on the olive branch on the reverse. The doubling in the ear doesn't quite match the description to me. I see doubling on the right inside of the ear. We'll figure this out, though.
Not VAM 43. No doubling on eyelid, but also the olive on the reverse is doubled, so this is a C4/C3 reverse. Now let's check the date and mintmark position and see if there's any doubling on Liberty's profile (tip of nose, lips, chin usually show it if it's there).
Perhaps VAM 23. Ear doubled on inner right side, date set further left than normal. Since it's a C4/C3 reverse, there is going to be doubling all over the place. Look closely at the edges of the olive leaves, the arrow heads, the eagle's nostril and eye. Mintmark position for VAM 23 is slightly high, centered, and upright.
