I went to our twice a year coin show here in Huntsville Alabama today.
Small show, less than 30 tables .
I was looking to buy a couple type coins , and also silver.
Here is a brief rundown on the silver situation.
Low-midgrade silver dollars were at $ 16 each .
Low-midgrade Halves at $ 6.50 each
This dealer had a pretty good supply of both (probably 200 or so of each ).
A couple more dealers had dollars for $ 16 also with maybe 100 or so available. None cheaper than $ 16.
High AU -low BU Morgans for $ 20 each , 1 roll .
I saw 1 100 oz bar but did not get a price.
Several smaller bars were present.
Several dealers had loose silver Eagles, but only 1 dealer
had a roll , which I bough for $ 370 .
Other dealers laughed and said "good luck" when I asked if they had any
rolls of Eagles.
As far as gold, I didn't look , but
I overheard the biggest PM dealer in north Alabama tell someone that there was
indeed a shortage of physical Gold , and the premium was increasing more and more.
