65 coins

I know pre 64 quarters and dimes are silver. Do 65's have any silver? Seem to "ting" like silver.

Any 1964 and BEFORE dime, quarter, or Half is 90% silver.

Any 65-69 Half is 40% silver.

Any dime or quarter 1965 and AFTER is clad.

  • Thanks all. My dad has rolls of them he saved. I didn't think they contained silver but figured I'd ask before taking them to the bank.

you mean pre(before) 65's have silver. If you search rolls of circulated quarters you would be surprised at home many 65's show up. I would say every roll contains a couple. The 65's do resemble the look of a silver quarter though.
