That pretty nearly describes what you listen to during most national broadcasts of baseball games these days too.
One can do that here too at times.

2 ABs.... 17 pitches and counting....
18..... another full count.....
<< <i>this is too friggin funny listening to the cheers as brett fouls ball after ball off sebbathia....

19... LOL... fly ball and a standing ovation for BM!
Had they won yesterday they could have held off and gave the guy an extra day of rest.
IMO they should have anyway.

true. would that have made game 5 3 days rest? either way, no worse an option than what they're doing to him now. the injury to Sheets down the stretch is massive
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
What the hey, I'm voting for McCain anyway, and Obama is going to win anyway, so I'm watching the Phillies game. LOL
<< <i>Things are going too dam good - Phillies look great...Penn State is #6 and playing extremely well. Is there a comet headed towards earth that I'm not aware of? >>
BEWARE THE JINX
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
<< <i>Gotta admit Phillies are the best team in the NL right now...good luck guys! >>
James Moyer to close it out in a few!

I feel a little bad for Cubs fan because I do understand their pain - i mean it doesn't get much more painful than a record 10,000 Phillies losses.
Looks like the Phillies - Dodgers for the NL pennant, and frankly I think the Phillies will be a strong favorite to win that series. So it's looking good, but of course it's far from over because even if all goes well for the Phillies in the NL, there's still that little problem of having to play that Junior Circuit team for the championship.

Don't they bring in three babblers for the playoff games.....you know guest announcers?? like I saw Granderson on ESPN voicing his expert opinion...wish he'd open up about Sheffield .....
<< <i>Well obviously this series is over. . >>
That's what most fans thought about the Red Sox - Yankees series in 2004

STOP IT ALREADY ! GEEZ !

No, only the word "guaranteed" seems to screw it up for me lately. LOL

Fans seem to over-analyze reasons for that, but i've always believed the bottom line to that series was the Yankees simply weren't hungry enough and Boston was "hungry" galore. The Phillies are hungry galore and there's no conceivable way they can now lose this series - it's impossible.

What I failed to communicate is that in baseball it is much easier to win three in a row then four in a row. Especially when
you have two out of three games at home. The Sox had to win two at home and two on the road. The Brewers just have to
win one on the road.
I like the Phillies attitude. Not only are they hungry, but their manager has a no-nonsense, come to work with your hard hat mentality.
I like that. Dallas Green was the same way.

Well, if it's a 50/50 proposition, then the real odds of winning 3 in a row are 1 in 8 and the real odds of winning 4 in a row are 1 in 16. That being said, I think the odds of the Phillies losing this series is impossible.
