Certainly not the end of civilization in the least, it just clutters up this page and has no real worth. Plus it looks very, very cheap and is just one more thing to load. Personally, I do not like to be inundated with ads and popups when I go to a site, but I know that's part of the game, if you like them thats your prerogative and I certainly respect that.
