HEY HERITAGE!

You want to get more of my business? You want to sell to me and have me buy from you?

Instead of sending me a beautiful 4-color, tri-fold, varnished, glossy auction catalog several times a year that I just toss right in the garbage, try sending me a beautiful 4-color, tri-fold, varnished, glossy CALENDAR that I'd hang on my wall and look at hundreds of times a year.

Just a thought.

I have one from Numismatic News, which lists all the major shows. Beautiful photos with some explanatory text about different coins/currency.

I am surprised more places don't do calendars.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Just stop buying coins from them and the catalogs will stop coming. Worked for me.

after advice from another forum member, I now take extra catalogs to my local library and leave them in the "free magazines" section

I bring the old catalogs to my library and they put them in their annual Friends of the Library sale for $1 or $2 each. They sell like hotcakes.

I've been buying and selling through Heritage for over two years now. I've not received a catalogue from them. Do I need to threaten them?

If you don't review their catalogs, how are you going to find cool coins to try and win?image

I guess the obvious answer would be, "their website", but for me, there's no substitute for being able to thumb through a catalog to review their coins.

You should recycle that catalog at the very least, not toss it in the trash!

Heriatge's catalogs remind me of the old Bowers & Merena catalogs..... nice info in both

I called and opted out of delivery for the catalogs. It's the right thing to do if you don't use them. Save them money (not that I really care to) and save the environment and save me the hassle of discarding/recycling. Win/Win/Win.
  • Does anyone get the interactive CD?
I'd rather get that now than the print cataloge, but i think you have to request it.

I look online for their catalog. If there's a catalog I want for posterity, I pick it up somehow.

While I'd like a calendar, why not make it a box calendar like the "365 Dogs" calendar I have?

Obviously enough for them to send me a beautiful 4-color, tri-fold, varnished, glossy auction catalog several times a year.
I'd do more if they sent me a calendar.

Got a glitzy, fancy 2009 FUN show brochure from heritage today..large enough where I thought it was a calendar
