Can someone provide a nice picture of a coin they've found, the doubling is pretty dramatic. Also, where have these coins been found??? Has it been principally in the Mint Sets, in rolls or just single coins from dealer stock boxes?? Thanks.

More than 2% (perhaps significantly more) of the mint set coins
are the DDO. These turn up in circulation and I've seen examples
    struck from highly eroded dies.

I don't have any pictures, but I have found 3. Two were circulation finds, one in Houston, TX (a nice XF EDS), and one recently here in Austin (AU- LDS). About 10 years ago, I cherried a mint state specimen from a shop in Plano, TX... I love this variety...the EDS is amazing!

If your under 50 perhaps you can spot this naked eye! Over 50, at arms length! image
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I've cherried dozens of this variety-exclusively in Mint sets-over the years-13 at one place once! They used to comprise at least 10% of all the Mint sets I examined but now, since they've been pretty well picked over, you'd be lucky to find one in 50 as cladking says. One of the nice things about the Mint set coins is that those are EDS coins.

Right you are! Just about every one I've ever seen has a scrape on the Eagle's shield-apparently a problem caused by the way it was packaged.
