Not even the debatable it's the best division in football right now and it's not even close. Best ever? Well, I'll wait until the end of the season to compare that but it's an interesting question.
The last time I remember a division being this good was in 1984. It was the AFC West. The Chargers finished last in the division that year at 7-9 (They were 0-8 in division and 7-1 out of division).
The Chargers, Broncos and Seahawks all finished 7-1 against non division opponents. The Raiders finished 6-2 and the Chiefs 4-4. Miami went into the Superbowl that year with a record of 16-2. Their only 2 losses going into that game were to the Raiders and the Chargers.
Right now the NFC East looks just as tough if not tougher.
