Sending older cards for grading - HELP?!

I won a R303-B set from clean sweep....kinda big cards.....bigger than the card savers.........how can I submit them for grading? I want to send the entire set to SGC.......I found top loaders that are big enough, but all the graders say don't use top loaders....does anyone have any suggestions?

They're like 4 3/4" x 7" or something, right? That's a tough size. I can't imagine they won't accept top loaders.... since there are no CS's that are big enough.

Correct...4 3/4 X 7 1/4.....I will use top loaders, but what do I do with the open end, and if I just tape it shut, can my cards get damaged sliding around?

I'd tape them. They shouldn't get damaged...

Ok..thanks for the advice...I want to send them in before SGC goes up on their grading fee....I believe it takes effect Oct 15th!

Whay tape them? I can't stand getting a crad in a top loader with tape on it. there are other options.

Please tell me what they are....they don't make Card Savers big enough to handle the vintage cards from the 30's.....

I would not advise taping them either. Cards can slide in the top loaders and get into the tape damaging them.

Put a piece of paper over the the top. Tape it about an inch down the front and the back of the holder. The card won't slide out, but can never contact the tape either. The paper will keep the card in the holder, and shouldn't harm it in any way. It is softer than the bottom of the holder.

loop the tape and make a tab on both ends stuck together to pull, i copied that trick off of somebody on here that sent me something, that way you just pull the tape that is stuck in end roll off and all comes off,instead of chipping away at it like a flat piece
