1942 over 1 mercury dime - how to authenticate

I finally achieved a long time ambition to buy a raw 1942 over 1 mercury dime .
The problem is that I really dont know if its real or possible a fake.
It looks right except the '1' is a bit thinner than
other pics. It also has the extra protrustion at the bottom of the '4'.

My question is are there many fakes of this coin and is there
good tests to determine the coin is real. I have only 7 days
to verify so certification services are out.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nothing sticks out at me on your coin, but then again, I only saw the date.

If you send the coin overnight to PCGS or NGC on the Express tier, and request Express shipping on the way back, you could have it back in 3-4 days.

From the pic looks to be real . If you look on the reverse of the coin is there a small die line from the fasces to the olive branch on the lower left corner of the fasces ?

Looks real.

Agree that Fedex overnight, walkthrough service (PCGS), with prepaid Fedex overnight in return would get it back in plenty of time.
