I had a positive moment at the post office this afternoon!!

Yes, it's true.
I went to the Baltimore main post office since I was too late to go to my local office by 2:00pm.
This is a big post office, doesn't close till 5:00pm on SATURDAY!
I'm standing in line and waiting for the "Next in line" command.
Well, as I marched down the terrazzo floor to the clerk who was 100 feet away, I wondered how these city clerks would react to my registered package.
First word out of the female clerk was, "Oh my, registered!"
I begin to wonder at this point.
She yells over to a senior clerk that she has no registered labels.
He responds with, they are in your drawer.
With that she finds the labels and proceeds with the process.
The insurance amount was $11,500.....did she say anything about it?.....NOPE!!!!
As she starts to stamp all the seams with the "official PO Stamper" her senior clerk yells over to me and says, "Thanks for your packaging!"
I'm at a complete loss for words at this point.
"Huh" I say.
He then gives me a thumbs up......"great job on that box!!!"
My female clerk then exclaims, most of her customers do NOT know how to package a registered package and said her boss was most appreciative.
I asked if she had secure reinforced brown gummed tape and she said yes.
You mean you actually secure registered packages for your customers??
She said, "We can't turn them away!"
"So, I did good?"
"Yes, thanks your package is packaged correctly!"
To make a long story short....this is Baltimore's MAJOR hub for U.S. mail, and I am applauded for following the rules.
As I exited, the senior clerk says, "Thanks again for packing your parcel properly for Registered mail!"
Needless to say, a wonderful experience at Baltimore's major post office.
Now, how long before PCGS gets this "perfect parcel?"

I said politely (yes I was nice and said...... "Hey, it's packaged correctly, and the form is filled out as well." She then said I guess you are correct. I then told her to quit whining and be thankful she didn't have to do much. Of course, they all work so hard I felt sorry for the lady.

Yes. The main post office is next to the shot tower. If you haven't been inside the shot tower, you should visit it.

The package was insured for $1100 so the clerk saw the sticky, pointed to it and asked if this was the amount of insurance I needed without blurting out the dollar amount. Very smooth process.

To be fair, aside from Priority/Express Mail supplies, the post office doesn't provide packing supplies free of charge. Also, USPS regulations prohibit employees from helping to prepare or seal registered mail packages. I know it doesn't stop some of them from doing so, but still...
